2/04/1946 Stars and Stripes

NOTE: These wives of American servicemen were among 35 war brides who arrived in New York Jan. 23, [1946] aboard the Navy transport Gen. W. P. Richardson after a 24 day voyage from Khorramshahr, Iran. Most of the brides were Iranians, but the group also included some Poles, Russians and Armenians.
